About NewGAPS
NewGAPS is a company dedicated to the research, development and manufacture of Magnetic Matrices for high intensity magnetic separators Jones/WHIMS. Founded in 2016, NewGAPS aims to develop cutting-edge solutions in magnetic matrices to enhance the efficiency of magnetic separators, enabling the recovery of fine and ultrafine magnetic materials until then discarded in dams as tailings.

Studies and Developments
NewGAPS, through many studies and developments in partnership with GAUSTEC, developed the revolutionary BigFLUX® Magnetic Matrices of High Efficiency, which made possible the greater production of iron ore concentrates and better quality, in addition to converting the tailings that were wasted into sustainable sand for sale.
The extremely high magnetic fields (+21,000 Gauss) generated by the BigFLUX® magnetic matrices, combined with a larger feeding area, allow the recovery of fine and ultrafine magnetic particles of iron ores, guaranteeing that mining companies make excellent use of their mineral resources, promoting the reduction operational risks, care for the environment and economic gain.
Innovation and Technology
In addition to the BigFLUX® Magnetic Matrices, NewGAPS has developed the FlexGAP® technology, which guarantees greater flexibility in magnetic separation processes, as it allows the process to be adjusted with extreme flexibility, varying the gaps to adjust changes according to the characteristics of the ore. This technology replaces welded matrices with matrices with adjustable gaps.
Determination and Evolution
After 4 years of existence, NewGAPS broke a paradigm and developed a new technological concept in magnetic matrices that determined a new direction for the treatment of iron ore in the world. The results obtained with the use of these matrices have been surprising and several national and international mining companies are applying our technologies with great success, enabling the maximum use of minerals.
Partnerships and Tests
NewGaps has partnerships with the laboratories of Gaustec Magnetismo, Fundação Gorceix, among others, where tests are developed to define the ideal magnetic matrix for each type of ore and its mineralogical characteristics according to the customer's needs, including ultrafine flotation tailings.
